Welcome to the

9th Episcopal District

Our vision for the Ninth Episcopal District is to "Encourage, Empower and Enable the People of God!"

For He is well able to do exceeding, abundantly, above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. - Ephesians 3:20

It is for this reason that we have this theme at the very heart of all we do in the Ninth District.

Join us as we accomplish great things for God!

W

elcome to the official web presence of the Ninth Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church. The Ninth District covers the state of Alabama, and is comprised of five (5) annual conferences:  the Alabama River Region, the Southeast Alabama, the Northeast Alabama, the Southwest Alabama, and the Northwest Alabama. Alabama is home to some 275 AME congregations and nearly 20,000 members of the denomination.

This website was created so that members of the AME Church in Alabama can stay abreast of all of the active ministries of the Ninth District; so the pastors and presiding elders of the District can make reports and receive information as expediently as possible; and so that the members of the AME Church in other parts of the world, as well as other interested persons, might be able to share in the great things that God is doing through the AME Church in the state of Alabama.

It is our prayer that as you navigate this site, you will find it timely and informative, and that something within will inspire you to visit one of our local congregations, and even partner with us in serving God by serving humanity as we go forth in this great work of Kingdom Building.
